Here is your reminder and permission slip:

Trust your gut and know you CAN say “no” if you’re not comfortable.

I was in St. Louis for a quick weekend conference staying right by the arch ~ hello views! ~ and walking back into the hotel I heard a woman asking her driver that had just pulled up, all four windows down on a 90+ degree day, if he had air conditioning.

I didn’t hear his response, but skeptical she tried to confirm the answer with the young couple who had just stepped out of the car – no the air was not on.

“Oh hellllll NO!” she exclaimed.

She was not comfortable being in a car without A/C on such a hot day and stood her ground turning away the driver.

It can be seen as a small thing but trusting your gut and knowing what you’re comfortable with is important for traveling, especially when traveling solo.

A lesson I remind myself often of as well.

Visiting Mykonos in the off season

Experience a week in Greece with me.

I hit up one of my favorite places, Greece and the island of Mykonos in early April right before their tourist season officially kicked off and walked away with the best pre-summer experience and a more cost effective trip to the island that didn’t break my wallet.

In this vlog I:

→ visit Mykonos’ famous windmills for panoramic views

→ learn how to make a local dish called Spanakopita

→ take a boat trip to Delos Island for Greek ruins

→ wander the charming streets of Chora and Matoyianni

📍WHERE IN THE WORLD IS EMILEE?

“This is what dreams are made of”

I’m currently living my Lizzie McGuire dreams cruising around on vespas, scooping up all the delicious gelato and (not so sneakily) sneaking out of this month’s apartment in hopes of stumbling into a famous pop star to whisk me away to try on crazy fashion and sing on a big colosseum stage.

Okay, maybe not that last part – but I am enjoy all the things that Roma has to offer this month,
