Sunday Session Lesson #22: Ta-cheese Reports
Hey guys,
Have you ever played a complicated hybrid rudiment, only to find yourself struggling with heights, rhythm or coordination as you tried to go faster?
In this lesson, we look at a rudiment that my friend, @karldrumtech, recently introduced to me through an Instagram video. It's similar to a Book Report rudiment, in the sense that it uses a paradiddle sticking. However, the flam has been shifted after the downbeat accent onto the 2nd note of each grouping. Futhermore, the flam is played as a "cheese" - a flam and a drag combined. To finish it off, we add a drag on the 4th note of each grouping. Whew!
