One afternoon, after I had made the same mistake multiple times in a row, my Mom pointed out the wrong note on the page, yet again. Frustrated, I finally spoke up. "Mom, I can hear when I play a wrong note, you don't have to tell me every time."

She looked at me and said, "Oh, you don't like it when I tell you you played a wrong note?"

"No," I whined.

"Well then stop playing wrong notes."
